Lone Star School of Music

Howdy folks,
I wanted to let you know that two new friends of mine, Kurt and Atha Phillips have just opened up a school in east Austin behind Flatbed Press on MLK blvd. This is a music school for adults, kids, bohemians - whatever your inclination but beyond this will be a community to inspire us all to create and share our own unique talent and grow.?  If you know someone who could use a resource like this - I know I could - please spread the word.

The space is located in the old Featherlite building at 2824 Real St. There are forty some instructors lined up - our friend Micheal Rubin will be teaching harmonica, and other talent includes the likes of Ernie Durawa on drums and Floyd Domino on piano. They boast a recording studio, store and rental department and you can call them at 524-5252 or go to http://www.lonestarschoolofmusic.com

The grand opening party will happen this Saturday night around 7:00 and surely will evolve into a evening circle that you will not want to miss.?  Come check out the space and meet some great folks.

Peace and Love,
Will
