NEW RULES at Old Settler's Music Fest for Campers Beg. 2010
« Reply #1 on: April 08, 2010, 10:19:34 PM »
hello all you beautiful people!

last week, two different friends mentioned that there are new rules for campers at OSMF. since this group is for posting pickin' parties only, i'll share OSMF's new rules, and include an invite to come out and jam early next week with a few of us...(see text copied from the OSMF web site below):

New Rules at Camp Ben

If you plan on setting up your tent before the festival, please know that the Camp Ben folks will be charging $10 per tent per night and $15 per motorhome or trailer per night. Camp Ben staff will be on hand to collect this money. For those that are wondering why ? some of you are setting up camp super early (one to two weeks in advance) and Camp Ben, a private park, has other events on those weekends. (This new rule is posted here: http://oldsettlersmusicfest.org/.)

i know a lot of folks go early and stake down tarps to save a camp site, then leave for a few days to return on Wednesday night or Thursday. seems like too many people have been doing this when other functions are taking place before OSMF. soooo......now those folks who go early and claim land will have to pay per day for their site.  just want to get the word out early for those of you who claim land early.

as for pickin'.....steve and i will be out there all week. we'll be setting up our camp (camp wit) this sunday and will be there all week long. so, if you're NOT attending the festival (thurs-sun), feel free to come out evenings (sun - wed) to join us in the pickin' circles. it's usually nice and quiet and not overly crowded and the jams are of a more "intimate" nature. see y'all there!!

love - renita
