hi my fine folks & friends, my older sister (Monette) lives ALONE (with her beloved pets) in the middle of NOWHEREVILLE in VERY rural, Homer, Louisiana.  ~ she's healing from several, recent surgeries & soon begins treatment for breast cancer ~ ~ she's had to take time off from work (including pay) ~ ~ she doesn't have many belongings ~ ~ a friend loaned her a DVD / CD player ~ ~ while convalescencing at home she'd enjoy ANY movies & listening to YOUR beautiful music ~ if you're able... PLEASE DONATE your used DVD movies, musical CDs / recordings for her to keep & enjoy during this challenging time !! ~ light drama, suspense, adventure, love, comedy genres and ALL music is MOST welcome~ i'll be sending a big care package her way within the next two weeks (as well as following up with a visit in the very near future) i'll arrange to pick up whatever you can donate !! please call or email renita: renita@ejammers.net 524.5663 thanks! i LOVE you ALL !! |

There was no cover charge. In the spotlight on stage was 17-year-old (!) Sahara Smith. Her musical sophistication and the uncanny maturity of her lyrics astonished me ? gave me chills ? and made me realize (a little sadly) that it had been a long time since I'd been enthralled. What a wonder, to be enthralled again. After the show I told her and anyone else who would listen, 'You're the most gifted young performer I've seen in 26 years.'
